"PROSPECTOR" This bad boy was Herman Polanski. Herman was wanted for several crimes in Texas including cutting off the fingers of a bartender who refused to give him any more drinks. An avid alcoholic, gambler and wheeler dealer, Herman was always looking for schemes to get rich, and launched several failed attempts to rob banks and a post office.  He slipped out of Texas and followed a rumour that there was gold in California. Determined to get his share, he spent the remainder of his life prospecting in streams and rivers but never ever finding a mother-load.
